International Water and Boundary Commission (IBWC)
The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) is a binational commission, established to apply boundary and water treaties and agreements between the United States (U.S.) and Mexico. The IBWC consists of a U.S. Section and a Mexican Section. Each Section is administered independently of the other. Activities of the IBWC include river boundary preservation, flood control, hydraulic mapping, water quality measures, community outreach programs and proactive communication.
